New Prints x Yizu Made — Kirin Statue

This is my original design of a Kirin (麒麟)— a legendary creature in Chinese mythology, often regarded as a symbol of prosperity, protection, and good fortune.

The journey of this piece is what makes it meaningful. It began as a digital coursework assignment, but I wanted to take it beyond the screen. By translating my 3D model into a physical sculpture through printing, I was able to transform imagination into something tangible — a myth brought into reality.

Every detail — from the layered scales to the flowing mane — was sculpted to embody both strength and elegance, blending traditional inspiration with my own creative interpretation.

This project represents more than just a class assignment; it reflects my passion for bridging the digital and physical worlds through design and fabrication.
